The 2006 GoGoPlanet Olympics Summer Leg will be held on the weekend of September 30th and October 1st and it will feature some fresh new faces.
Team Bud, a softball team from the late 1990s featuring Mike Gough and several of his moronic friends are going to re-unite and represent Lela Lane for the Softball event this year. Lela Lane will play Forest Hills and the winner of that game plays defending champs Ridge Heights for the gold. If Ridge Heights should lose then they will play the losers from the first game in a 5 inning silver medal match.
"You can smoke on first base right?" said Gerald Redden of Lela/Team Bud whose last athletic adventure was running with an air conditioner he stole from an abandoned house. "If I can't smoke or drink in the field then I am not playing. Just ask the company that I work for, I have no problem sitting at home."
"Can I bring my girlfriend, you know the one I have been dating for two weeks and that I am in love with and I think she is the one I will marry," said a spitting every three words Thomas Juan Worley II from his ranch style casa in Fairmount City.
After Softball it is off to Ridge Heights where the Olympians will compete in 8 more events. First event is Shot Put where Derrick Baier will look to make it three years in a row winning the gold medal.
"I will defeat the almighty pussy Derrick, he is a pussy, and win the tug of war and break any time records held within the GoGo Olympic Park. Titus will serve the republic and treat all spectators with unlimited wine," said Mike Correale after an intense night with his two best friends, a bottle of rum and his right hand.
"I will put the shot put in my nose and sneeze and set a new world record," said Andy Graves, Danny Alvarez, and/or Neal Gough.
Shot Put is then followed by Rock, Paper, Scissors, Tug of War, Potato Sack Racing, Heads or Tails and then a brand new event called GoGo Relay.
GoGo Relay will feature teams of 4 to 5 competing in a very unusual and drunken relay race (more details to come).
This years Olympics will once again feature Fantasy Football where Olympians try to pick the best NFL players from the Week 4 football games. Turbo Cups will end things for Saturday night.
On Sunday there will be a basketball tournament by request of Scott Carril, 2005 Olympian of the Year. The 2006 Olympian of the Year will be announced Monday Night during the Green Bay Packers/Philadelphia Eagles football game.
